At 5:30 p.m. on Friday, October 23, the parking lot at Valley View Medical Center fills with rows of decorated trunks. There's a fall photo booth, food trucks and music from Murphy Broadcasting, all free and with costumes encouraged, at 5330 S. Highway 95 in Fort Mohave. At that same moment, four other Halloween events are already running or about to open within a short drive in either direction on the same highway.
This year's local calendar is lopsided. Much of the Halloween season between Bullhead City and Mohave Valley lands on that one Friday evening, and the other nights of the second half of October are scattered and quiet by comparison. Fort Mohave sits in the middle of the stretch, which makes it a convenient place to start from. Families just have to decide on Friday, ahead of time, which direction they're driving.
Five Start Times Inside One Hour
Here is October 23 in order of when the doors open:
- 5 p.m. The Mohave Valley Fire Department Halloween Carnival opens at 1451 Willow Drive in Mohave Valley. It runs until 8 p.m., it's aimed at ages 2 to 12, and tickets cost 25 cents.
- 5 p.m. Cornfest 2026 opens at Gary Keith Civic Park, 2345 Mohave Valley Highway in Bullhead City, and runs until 10 p.m.
- 5:30 p.m. Valley View Medical Center's Annual Trunk or Treat begins in Fort Mohave and runs until 8 p.m.
- 5:30 p.m. Mohave College's free Pumpkinfest starts at 3400 Highway 95 in Bullhead City and wraps up at 7:30 p.m.
- 6 p.m. Gates open for the Bullhead City Fright Night Pool Party & Haunted Hallway at Ken Fovargue Park, 2255 Trane Road. Admission is free, and open swim runs from 6 to 8 p.m.
Four of the five end between 7:30 and 8 p.m. That gives a family roughly two and a half usable hours. Realistically, that's enough for one stop, maybe two if they're close together. Pumpkinfest closes first, at 7:30, so anyone set on it should go there before anything else. Valley View is the only Fort Mohave event of the night, so it's the closest option and needs no drive up or down the highway.
Cornfest Is the One That Can Wait Until Saturday
One event on that list behaves differently from the others. Cornfest runs on Friday from 5 to 10 p.m. and comes back on Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. It's the only Friday event still going after 8 p.m., and the only one with a full second day.
That opens up two workable Friday plans for a Fort Mohave household. In the first, you start at Valley View when it opens at 5:30, then drive north to Gary Keith Civic Park after the trunks pack up, while Cornfest still has two hours left. In the second, you spend all of Friday evening on one of the 8 p.m. events and leave Cornfest for Saturday's long day.
Cornfest is hosted by Kiwanis of the Colorado River and presented by BilletHealth. Proceeds support college scholarships, school clubs and organizations, and the B.E.D. Project, so a Saturday visit raises money for the same causes as a Friday one.
Saturday has more going on as well. The Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce's Witches & Warlocks Paddle starts the day at Community Park from 7 to 8 a.m. Swanty's Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram holds its free Annual Howl-O-Ween at 2494 Highway 95 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It includes a trunk or treat, and the costume contests for people and pets start at 10 a.m. In the evening, VFW Post 404 hosts a Trunk or Treat & Costume Contest from 5 to 7 p.m. at 10287 S. Barrackman Road in Mohave Valley, with costume judging at 6 and free hot dogs. That's enough for a full Saturday, starting with the paddle at sunrise and ending at Cornfest's 11 p.m. close.
Fort Mohave's Own Night Is Thursday the 29th
Valley View hosts Fort Mohave's Friday event. Chef Dean's Pizzeria hosts its other one, six days later. On Thursday, October 29, from 5 to 7 p.m., the pizzeria at 5599 S. Highway 95 runs Spooky Pizza & Paint. A local artist leads a step-by-step Halloween painting, and guests take the finished piece home.
The $35 fee covers all art supplies. The evening also has a costume contest, and Chef Dean's will donate a percentage of food sales, from pizza, salads, subs and the rest of the menu, to childhood cancer support. Seats require an RSVP, which you can make by calling 559-474-5999. For more information, text Melisa at 909-292-6010.
This one is set up differently from the Friday lineup. Space is reserved, it happens on a weeknight, and it's about a mile and a half south of Valley View on the same highway. It's also the one Halloween event in Fort Mohave this season built for adults who want to sit down, eat and paint. The trunk-or-treats and carnivals are built around kids collecting candy.
The Weeks Around Friday, Night by Night
Away from October 23, the calendar is lighter, and that makes the other nights easier to enjoy. Each one has a few options with no rush.

| Fri., Oct. 30 | Halloween Karaoke, adult costume event | Bullhead Belle, 1251 Highway 95 | 5 to 8 p.m. | Not listed |
| Sat., Oct. 31 | Halloween Karaoke, kids | Bullhead Belle, 1251 Highway 95 | Noon to 3 p.m. | Not listed |
| Sat., Oct. 31 | Halloween Trunk or Treat | Miracle Mile Event Center, 2580 Miracle Mile, presented by Mohave Valley 68 | 5 to 8:30 p.m. | Free |
Two dates in the table are almost as busy as the 23rd. October 17 has three events, but they're spaced out from a 9 a.m. farm market to a 4 p.m. party, so one family could go to all three. October 28 has three events that start between 5 and 5:30 p.m., so that Wednesday is a smaller version of the Friday problem. Halloween itself comes down to two choices, karaoke at midday or the Miracle Mile Event Center trunk or treat in the evening, and those times don't overlap.
Highway 95 Holds the Whole Season Together
Most of this calendar is along one road. Going north from Fort Mohave, the Halloween stops with Highway 95 addresses line up like this:
- 5599 S. Highway 95, Fort Mohave: Chef Dean's Pizzeria, Thursday the 29th
- 5330 S. Highway 95, Fort Mohave: Valley View Medical Center, Friday the 23rd
- 3400 Highway 95, Bullhead City: Mohave College Pumpkinfest, Friday the 23rd
- 2494 Highway 95, Bullhead City: Swanty's Howl-O-Ween, Saturday the 24th
- 2365 Highway 95, Bullhead City: Exceptional Community Hospital Fright Track, Wednesday the 28th
- 1251 Highway 95, Bullhead City: Bullhead Belle Halloween Karaoke, Friday the 30th and Saturday the 31st
The rest of the calendar is a short turn off that same highway. Willow Drive and Barrackman Road lead to the Mohave Valley stops, and Trane Road, Mohave Valley Highway and Miracle Mile lead to the Bullhead City parks and event centers. For Fort Mohave, every event in this guide is a drive in one direction on the same road, which makes a Friday plan with two stops workable. It also keeps the two Fort Mohave hosts, Valley View and Chef Dean's, about as close to home as a Halloween outing gets.
Event details can change before the night. Each listing above names a host, and several include contact numbers, so check with the organizer before you load the car.
